Mobile Directional Control Valve
You can try telling a student that a sectional mobile directional control valve consists of seven valves, or you can let them see for themselves.
This fully functional valve is cutaway to expose the moveable spool, anti-cavitation valves, cylinder port relief valves, and load check valves.

Axial Piston, Variable Volume, Pressure-compensated Pump
The body is cutaway to expose all the internal parts. The barrel is also cutaway to expose the pistons. Even the pressure compensator is cutaway to show how the compensator works, and also how it communicates with the moveable swashplate.

Over-center Pump (hydrostatic)​
The housing is cut away to expose all the internal components. The barrel is also cut away through to the drive shaft. The swashplate is equipped with a handle that makes it possible to operate the swashplate. The rear mounted gerotor type charge pump features a completely transparent housing, which also exposes the charge pressure relief valve.
