BATTERY SAFETY · THERMOCHROMIC TECHNOLOGY
Know When Your Battery Is About To Become A Problem.
TempAlert stickers change from black to bright yellow when a lithium battery overheats — giving you a clear visual warning before things go wrong. No batteries. No apps. No guessing.

195%
Increase in lithium battery fires in Montreal in two years
“The largest growing fire safety risk.”
Toronto Fire Chief on e-bike batteries
3x
More property damage than standard fires — averaging $222,000 per claim
HOW IT WORKS
Three Steps. Zero Electronics.
TempAlert uses thermochromic technology — a heat-sensitive material that will change colour when temperature of the battery reaches 60°C / 154°F. This being a point of battery performance degradation and a thermal risk if it continues to increase. When the temperature drops back down to a safe temperature the TempAlert will change back to black.

BUSINESS & INDUSTRIAL
Battery Risk Is A Business Problem. TempAlert Is The Business Solution.
A single lithium battery fire can shut down operations, void insurance, and put your team at risk. TempAlert gives businesses a simple, scalable way to monitor battery temperature across every device in your fleet.
THE STAKES
The Numbers Make The Case.
$222K
Average insurance claim from a lithium battery fire — 3× more than a standard fire.
48%
Of all UK waste facility fires in 2024 were caused by lithium batteries — costing the industry £158 million per year.
26%
Increase in reported industrial lithium battery incidents from 2022–2025 vs. the prior five-year average.
Insurers are responding to the surge in claims by raising premiums, tightening exclusions, and in some cases refusing to cover lithium battery incidents at all. Proactive safety measures like TempAlert don’t just protect your people and your property — they demonstrate due diligence to your insurer.
INDUSTRIES SERVED
Built For The Way Your Business Works.

Healthcare & Clinical Facilities
Lithium-ion batteries power the critical devices healthcare teams depend on daily. While rechargeable and convenient, these batteries are vulnerable to sudden thermal instability — a condition that can rapidly escalate into a serious fire hazard with little warning, putting patients, staff, and facilities at risk. TempAlert provides visual feedback when a battery exceeds safe temperature levels, giving clinical staff an instant visual warning before a hazard becomes a crisis. Suitable for use on ventilators, infusion pumps, patient monitors, portable ECG, portable ultrasound, blood glucose meters, mobile X-ray, insulin pumps, CPAP machines, defibrillators, and more.

Auto Recyclers
Salvaged EV batteries present a unique and growing hazard for recycling facilities. TempAlert was launched at the Automotive Recyclers Association of Atlantic Canada — and it’s already trusted by auto recyclers who deal with lithium battery risk every day. Apply stickers to batteries in storage, in processing, or awaiting transport and know their thermal status at a glance.

Warehousing & Material Handling
Lithium-powered forklifts are now standard in warehouses and logistics centres worldwide. Without proper thermal monitoring, a charging station or storage rack can become a serious liability. TempAlert integrates into your existing workflow with zero disruption.

E-Bike & Scooter Fleet Management
Managing a fleet of e-bikes, e-scooters, or any vehicles with removable lithium batteries means managing battery health at scale. TempAlert provides a simple, cost-effective first line of defence — visible thermal monitoring that doesn’t require software, subscriptions, or specialist training.

Golf Carts & Utility Vehicles
Golf courses, resorts, airports, and campuses running lithium-powered utility fleets face real battery risk in storage and charging. TempAlert is simple enough for any maintenance team to implement across an entire fleet in a single day.
THE ADVANTAGE
No Infrastructure. No Training. No Excuses Not To.
Unlike connected monitoring systems that require Wi-Fi infrastructure, device pairing, software licensing, and ongoing maintenance, TempAlert requires none of that. It’s a sticker. It works the moment it’s applied. Any team member can read it. And it costs a fraction of what a thermal incident would.

For businesses managing dozens, hundreds, or thousands of batteries, TempAlert is the most practical first step toward a safer operation.
