The MF102-H Hydraulic Training System is FPTI’s flagship “foundation-building” trainer engineered to help students truly understand hydraulics by connecting theory to hands-on application. Designed by one of the industry’s most respected hydraulic educators, the MF102-H takes learners from the basics of Pascal’s Law and pressure differentials to complex circuit building using real industrial components. Every activity reinforces prior learning, ensuring exceptional retention and skill development.

With six directional control valves, industry-standard port identification, a pressure-compensated axial piston pump, and a complete suite of cylinders, flow meters, gauges, and controls, the MF102-H allows students to build an almost unlimited variety of circuits. Its plug-and-play Flex-Plate system expands its capabilities even further, allowing instructors to teach any pump or valve type, even those not physically mounted on the trainer. Built for decades of classroom service, the MF102-H remains one of the most complete and instructionally powerful hydraulic training systems ever developed.

MF102-H — Key Features & Benefits

Industry-Leading “Foundation Building” Instruction

Activities are engineered so each new lesson reinforces 90% previously taught content and introduces 10% new concepts, dramatically increasing retention.

Supports Every Major Pump/System Type

Teach fixed displacement, pressure-compensated, and optional load-sensing systems, all on one trainer.

Expansive Circuit-Building Capability

Six directional control valves (industrial + mobile) allow students to construct virtually any industrial or mobile hydraulic circuit found in the field.

Exceptional Student Retention

The MF102-H has the highest student retention rate of any hydraulic training system currently available.

Curriculum, Visual Aids & Teaching Materials Included

Comes with textbooks, illustrated student workbooks, instructor manuals, and 80+ hours of PowerPoint-based instruction.

Safe, Efficient & Environmentally Friendly

Flat-face quick-connect fittings eliminate oil leakage and reduce slip hazards. Energy-efficient design fits within tight classroom spaces and passes through standard doorways.

Plug-and-Play Flex-Plate Expandability

Easily add mobile valves, load-sense modules, proportional valves, steering valves, logic valves, and more, no mounting hardware required.

Designed by a Teaching Legend

Developed and refined by Rory S. McLaren over three decades of real classroom teaching.
